What You'll Do
- Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients, implementing individualized behavior support plans.
- Collect and record data on client progress and write detailed therapy notes for each session.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their child's progress and needs.
- Assist Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in preparing and organizing client materials.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in ABA therapy.
- Work towards becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) if you are not already certified.
- Maintain a positive and supportive working environment that fosters good vibes and teamwork.
- Follow guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and be detail-oriented.
- Must be able to lift and carry clients who weigh at least 30 pounds.
- Experience working with children in a classroom, daycare, or instructional childcare setting is preferred.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of clients and the team.
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Willingness to undergo training to implement the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Nice to Have
- Experience in early education or behavior sciences.
- Previous experience as a daycare worker, paraprofessional, or similar role.
- Interest in pursuing a career as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
