Beauty Tester - Remote Opportunity with Hearst UK

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Beauty Tester remote to join our team at Hearst UK. As a leading premium publisher, we are home to iconic brands like Cosmopolitan and Elle. This Beauty Tester remote position will allow you to work closely with our Beauty Testing Manager and contribute to the testing of various beauty products across multiple categories, including skincare, haircare, and cosmetics.

What You'll Do

• Conduct panel testing trials and methodically test products as directed by the Beauty Testing Manager.
• Follow strict protocols to ensure accurate recording, collating, and analyzing of results using specialized equipment.
• Support the launch and delivery of the GHI’s annual ‘Believe in Beauty Awards’.
• Input results into our product database and assist in content creation for articles and promotional purposes.
• Organize and manage the delivery of product samples within agreed testing timelines.
• Initiate ideas for testing and maintain high standards of testing consistency.
• Build relationships with manufacturers and PR representatives.
• Act as an ambassador for Hearst UK and its values.

Requirements

• Demonstrated practical skills and a passion for beauty products.
• Computer literate with good analytical skills to interpret data confidently.
• Experience in a practical testing environment, either during university or in a related role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
• A mature and flexible approach to work, with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of managing high volumes of work accurately and meeting deadlines.

Nice to Have

• Experience in content creation or product testing.
• Familiarity with current market trends in beauty.
• Previous involvement in beauty product launches or promotional events.
