Accounts Payable Analyst I - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Analyst I to join our team in a remote capacity. As an Accounts Payable Analyst I, you will ensure timely and appropriate recording of all transactions in accounts payables, contributing to the financial health of our organization. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal customers and vendors, making a significant impact on our accounts payable processes.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure timely recording of all transactions in accounts payables.
  • Analyze AP-related issues, including incorrect invoicing and supplier data, and resolve them independently.
  • Fulfill company obligations to third parties and employees based on established procedures.
  • Provide monthly analyses and reports to the AP Team Lead/Supervisor and internal customers.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with internal customers to enhance vendor relationships.
  • Handle inquiries from internal customers regarding A/P topics and ensure proper follow-up.
  • Reinforce purchase order procedures among internal customers.
  • Proactively challenge existing processes and work closely with teams to refine methods for increased efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for system and process improvements and escalate them as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Actively participate in assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an accounts payable process and exposure to a Shared Service environment.
  • Good understanding of Purchase to Pay processes is preferred.
  • Practical experience with ERP and PC-based systems is required.
  • Experience in creating Key Performance Indicators is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills for solving day-to-day problems.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and focus on continuous improvement.
