Staff Full-Stack Engineer - Revenue Systems (Remote)

About the Role

Grüns is hiring a Staff Full-Stack Engineer to lead the development of revenue-critical systems across our Shopify ecosystem. As a Staff Full-Stack Engineer (Remote), you will own the architecture and execution of high-impact, in-house builds, including replacing third-party tools and building advanced checkout and post-purchase experiences.

What You'll Do

• Lead the architecture and development of revenue-critical Shopify applications, checkout extensions, and post-purchase systems.
• Build and scale an in-house revenue tool.
• Design and implement robust backend integrations with order management, subscription, and fulfillment systems.
• Develop shared platform capabilities including internal authentication systems, event tracking frameworks, and background jobs.
• Productionize analytics models, optimization logic, and decision engines into user-facing software.
• Own projects end-to-end, from ideation and architecture to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, Growth, and Operations to ensure systems align with revenue and experimentation goals.
• Maintain high standards for performance, reliability, scalability, and developer experience.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Full-Stack Engineering or similar roles.
• Deep, hands-on Shopify experience (Shopify apps, checkout extensions, post-purchase flows are required).
• Experience shipping customer-facing e-commerce features with strong UX and performance standards.
• Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and React.
• Backend experience in Python and/or Node.js.
• Experience building production APIs and services (REST and/or GraphQL).
• Strong knowledge of authentication patterns, background jobs, and third-party integrations.
• Experience productionizing analytics models or optimization systems into production software.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP), including CI/CD, logging, and monitoring.
• Demonstrates strong systems design and backend integration expertise.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
