Software Engineer - Remote Position in Healthcare Technology

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer - Remote to join our dynamic team at RemoteHunter. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Radiation Oncology Systems Unit, where you will collaborate with medical physicists and IT professionals to develop secure, scalable solutions for an Enterprise Radiation Oncology Department. As a Software Engineer - Remote, you will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency of Photon and Proton clinics.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom system software tailored for clinical applications.
• Create middleware to integrate measurement hardware, software interfaces, TPS scripting, and data flow.
• Develop one-off code solutions to optimize and automate unique clinical processes.
• Operate in a fast-paced Agile environment, managing multiple initiatives and reprioritizing tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; or an associate’s degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of software development concepts and object-oriented programming.
• Experience in web programming, specifically with C# and .NET.
• Front-end development skills and experience in Agile software development processes.
• Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript web app development is a plus.
• Knowledge of DICOM standards and secure coding practices.
• Experience with large databases, MS SQL, and SQL query optimization.
• Ability and willingness to learn additional programming languages as needed.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with cloud app development and technologies.
• Experience with complex system integration including file-based and API-based integrations.
• Knowledge of client application models, web-based application models, and web APIs.
