What You'll Do

  • Build highly scalable and distributed services that enhance Twilio’s messaging capabilities.
  • Develop internal and public REST APIs and event-based systems used by Twilio customers.
  • Collaborate with a globally distributed team to brainstorm and implement product ideas.
  • Continuously improve services that drive Twilio’s top products and revenue.
  • Take ownership of your product, ensuring SLA compliance and participating in incident resolution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software development experience in object-oriented languages such as Java, Go, or C#.
  • Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
  • Proven ability to build and support mission-critical customer-facing systems.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud services.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL or DynamoDB.
  • Understanding of asynchronous architectures and technologies (e.g., Kafka, SQS).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with telemetry and observability tools for system monitoring.
