About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated SMT Operator to join our team at Fusion-EMS, a leading Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company based in Hillsboro, Oregon. As an SMT Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that printed circuit boards are assembled to specifications while adhering to our high standards of quality and safety. What You'll Do

  • Operate Surface Mount Machines according to standard operating procedures.
  • Perform machine set-up and maintenance as per documented procedures.
  • Set-up Feeders for SMT pick and place machines.
  • Operate SMT pick and place machines efficiently.
  • Hand place SMT parts on stenciled boards with precision.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Set-up and operate automated stencil printers.
  • Communicate machine operation status to management as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written English work instructions.
  • Experience operating SMT pick and place machines (Mycronic or Juki preferred).
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read and write in English.
  • Must be a US person.

Nice to Have

  • Operating knowledge of AOI and X-ray machines.
  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
