Senior Software Engineer - Esports Community Focus
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will design, architect, and develop responsive web applications and high-performance services for the esports community, which includes millions of users. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Product team to deliver impactful solutions that meet the needs of our community and enhance the overall gaming experience.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement web applications using best development practices for maintainability, scalability, and performance.
- Build integrations between backend and frontend systems to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Deliver high-value solutions instead of just code, focusing on collaboration with the Product team.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance and componentization.
- Implement security measures to protect user data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software development with a high-level programming language.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with production systems.
- Strong focus on software quality and design patterns.
- Proficiency in ES6 and TypeScript.
- Experience with agile methodologies such as XP, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Ability to make architectural decisions and a broad understanding of architectural challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency for prioritizing production issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to align with the team while balancing technical excellence and value delivery.
Nice to Have
- Active presence in the tech community through open-source projects, blogs, or speaking at events.
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.).
- Good understanding of UX, design, and user interface principles.
