About the Role

Sanctuary AI is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer - Embodied Intelligence Platform to join our innovative team. This Senior Software Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the field of physical AI for general-purpose robots. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the data collection and machine learning systems that power our robots.

What You'll Do

• Design and deploy full-stack web applications that enhance our robotic systems.
• Collaborate with machine learning researchers and hardware engineers to develop world-class software solutions.
• Document and maintain software applications, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
• Participate in deploying new software releases and collecting data from robotic systems.
• Utilize your expertise in backend programming, particularly with Python, to build scalable systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields.
• 6+ years of experience as a Software/Backend Engineer.
• 3+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer.
• Proficiency in a backend programming language; Python experience is preferred.
• Experience with TypeScript and React.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Familiarity with deploying applications on Kubernetes in cloud environments.
• Interest in robotics and exposure to ROS 2 or robotics data formats.
