Senior IT Engineer - Identity and Access Management (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior IT Engineer - Identity and Access Management to join our remote team at Rula. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our internal infrastructure to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable access to our mental healthcare services. As a Senior IT Engineer, you will focus on building and managing identity services that provide seamless user access across the organization, allowing our staff to concentrate on patient-centered work rather than technical friction.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement automated workflows across a critical SaaS ecosystem, including platforms like Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and GitHub.
• Eliminate manual "toil" by leveraging tools such as Okta Workflows, Workato, or Stitchflow.
• Streamline lifecycle processes like onboarding and offboarding while enhancing device management infrastructure.
• Mentor teammates to elevate the overall technical capabilities of our IT operations.
• Drive the design and implementation of identity lifecycle processes, including automated onboarding, offboarding, and role-based access control (RBAC).

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in IT Engineering or Systems Administration, focusing on Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Experience managing macOS environments and MDM platforms like Intune and Kandji.
• Familiarity with modern authentication standards and protocols, including SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, and SCIM.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining complex workflows using platforms such as Okta Workflows, Workato, or Stitchflow.
• A builder’s mindset with a passion for simplifying and enhancing systems.

Nice to Have

• A track record of leveraging APIs to improve operational efficiency through custom automations.
• Okta Certified Professional or Okta Certified Expert certification.
• Experience with Jira Service Management, Atlassian Automation, and ITIL-based environments.
• Experience integrating identity data from HRIS systems like ADP or Workday.
• Functional understanding of modern cloud-first environments.
