About the Role
We are a small London startup with the ambition to change education with ML-powered tutoring. Our flagship product is a mobile application for teaching English to intermediate and advanced learners. We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our growing development team and help us make high-quality, personalized learning accessible to everyone.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement a new high-scale system for millions of users.
- Build convenient CI/CD processes and testing pipelines to support quick iterative development and system stability.
- Work on ML model development with our team to build robust data pipelines and deploy ML models.
- Analyze large corpora of data and build real-time recommendation systems.
- Work with large amounts of data in different modalities (text, video, images, audio).
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team with mobile developers, product managers, ML engineers, and designers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building high-load applications from scratch.
- Deep knowledge of AWS and architecture planning.
- Strong skills in CI/CD automation pipelines and proficiency with Terraform and Docker.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Python web frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
Nice to Have
- Experience with real-time databases and frontend frameworks.
- Knowledge-sharing experience through tech talks or articles.
- Experience in developing educational products.

Who Will Succeed Here
Proficiency in AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and EC2, with hands-on experience deploying scalable applications using Terraform and Docker in a CI/CD pipeline.
Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly in designing schemas that support high-performance queries for educational data analytics.
A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment, capable of taking ownership of projects and adapting to rapidly changing requirements while collaborating closely with product and design teams.
