About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer - Payments & Wallet to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be part of the Payments & Wallet team (also known as PAW 🐾) at Coinhako, where you will handle asset management, compliance, and On-chain Services & Integrations (Superwallet). As a Senior Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance services that power our payments and wallet infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Architect and build scalable backend services using our tech stack, which includes Rails 7, Go, Sidekiq, REST, AWS, and Docker.
- Design and build high-volume APIs that are used by our frontends and external traders.
- Take initiative to ensure the long-term quality of the code and drive architectural decisions for production systems.
- Manage and maintain custody solutions for digital assets, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers during various product development stages.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes to enhance team efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in building scalable distributed systems with a strong background in Ruby; knowledge of Go is a plus.
- Understanding of best practices for building and working with APIs.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of scoping solutions with teammates.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage your own tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of cryptography, security principles in blockchain, and compliance frameworks for cryptocurrency.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker and cloud services.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the cryptocurrency space.
- Previous experience in a start-up environment.
