About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our team remotely. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will leverage your expertise in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server to lead database implementation and support efforts. What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor the installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of PostgreSQL clusters and MSSQL instances.
  • Own database architecture decisions across environments (dev/QA/prod).
  • Design and deploy schema objects, enforcing standards and code review gates.
  • Define and enforce configuration baselines for PostgreSQL and MSSQL.
  • Demonstrate ownership of HA/DR, performance tuning, and backup/recovery for large, mission-critical systems.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience administering PostgreSQL and MSSQL in production environments.
  • Experience with Babelfish for PostgreSQL for SQL Server migration use-cases.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes operators and cloud object storage for backups.
  • Proficient in scripting/automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Experience with CI/CD/GitOps practices.

Nice to Have

  • Microsoft or equivalent certifications (optional but preferred).
  • PostgreSQL-focused certifications are a plus.
