Senior Art Director - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

LegalZoom is seeking a Senior Art Director to join our Brand & Creative team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will define our visual strategy and elevate creative from concept through execution across every channel where our brand is present. Your strong visual point of view, systems mindset, and deep understanding of design and storytelling will drive brand and business outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Define the visual strategy for key brand and marketing initiatives, ensuring brand consistency and impact across channels.
• Contribute to and evolve the visual system for LegalZoom’s brand, including typography, color, composition, and motion.
• Lead the creative development of performance advertising across various media, translating complex ideas into compelling visual narratives.
• Be hands-on as needed, creating storyboards and design assets to move ideas forward quickly.
• Provide visual direction and actionable feedback to designers, writers, and external partners, leading efficient reviews.
• Partner closely with brand strategy and marketing teams to adapt ideas by audience and platform.
• Ensure creative quality on shoots, meeting technical specifications and accessibility standards.
• Stay updated on cultural and design trends, bringing fresh ideas that align with business objectives.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience as an Art Director or Senior Art Director with a strong portfolio.
• Experience leading creative projects from brief through launch in fast-paced environments.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a passion for design craft and storytelling.
• Experience directing photography, illustration, and video production.
• Bonus: Familiarity with performance marketing and prior in-house experience at a growth-stage consumer brand.
