Scientist Health and Nutrition - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Scientist Health and Nutrition to join our R&D team at Heineken. This remote opportunity allows you to contribute to the development of healthy and sustainable products for consumers. Your expertise will help shape the future of consumer-driven beverage innovation by strengthening our Health & Nutrition competence and deepening the understanding of how nutrients affect health and cognition.

What You'll Do

• Lead and co-develop innovative research projects that support Heineken’s global drinks portfolio development.
• Implement applied research approaches and fast iterations to fuel consumer-focused innovations.
• Collaborate with global multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and technologies.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external networks across markets and regions to share knowledge and drive breakthroughs.
• Enhance the Health and Nutrition competence by learning, experimenting, and developing new knowledge, methodologies, and tools that improve the understanding of the effects of food stimuli on the human body, such as gut health and cognition.
• Proactively keep up with trends and developments in the field of Health, Nutraceuticals, and Food Chemistry.

Requirements

• A PhD or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Life Sciences, Bio(analytical) chemistry, Physiology, or a related field.
• Ability to shape the competence area of Health and Nutrition, combining vision, creative thinking, and collaboration with competence leads to build and spread new knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrated experience in fundamental scientific research and applied research, preferably in health and nutrition or related fields.
• Passion for experimenting and applying new technologies to drive innovation.
• Expertise in data interpretation, with the ability to translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work together in flexible teams with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Drive to build strong, collaborative networks internally and externally to accelerate breakthroughs.

Nice to Have

• Experience in consumer-focused product development.
• Familiarity with regulatory aspects of health and nutrition products.
• Knowledge of sensory evaluation methods.
