In this role, you'll lead a talented team of video editors, driving the post-production process to create engaging educational content.

What You'll Do

• Manage, mentor, and grow the YouTube Video Editors team, providing guidance and professional development.
• Collaborate with the entire YouTube team to ensure an effective post-production workflow and manage team resources efficiently.
• Define and maintain video strategy, creative standards, and visual identity to ensure brand consistency.
• Act as visual Quality Assurance for our videos, reviewing each video and suggesting improvements to enhance engagement.
• Analyze YouTube video performance metrics to optimize editing for engagement and drive video performance forward.
• Facilitate ideation and problem-solving through regular meetings and workshops with video content creators.
• Identify opportunities to optimize video post-production processes through automation and AI tools.
• Step in as a hands-on video editor when needed to support the team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in video editing, with at least 1-2 years in a team leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Deep understanding of YouTube platform best practices and editing techniques that drive viewer engagement.
• Ability to analyze video performance metrics and translate data insights into actionable editing decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with remote teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Portfolio demonstrating high-quality video editing work, preferably in educational entertainment or tutorial content.
