About the Role

Welcome to Planet! We are excited to announce an opening for a Remote Senior Technical Program Manager focused on Infrastructure. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving our most complex programs that span multiple teams and organizational boundaries. As a key player in our mission to change the way people see the world, you will help manage the execution of programs through the product life cycle.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and manage end-to-end program plans.
  • Establish and manage internal processes, schedules, metrics, and risks associated with program execution.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Focus on Infrastructure and Operations, including compute and storage solutions.
  • Drive the execution of complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Utilize your technical expertise to guide teams in overcoming challenges and achieving project goals.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
  • Monitor and report on program progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, preferably in the tech or space industry.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and operations, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage teams across different time zones.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the space industry or with satellite technology.
  • Familiarity with data processing and software engineering practices.
  • Project management certification (PMP, Scrum Master, etc.).
