About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Real Estate Finance Counsel - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide expert legal advice on various aspects of real estate finance, including mortgage-backed securities, lease financing, and regulatory compliance. As a Real Estate Finance Counsel - Remote, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our transactions comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
What You'll Do
- Provide legal counsel on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and development.
- Draft and negotiate contracts related to mortgage-backed securities and lease financing.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support the firm’s real estate finance initiatives.
- Advise on regulatory compliance matters, including FHA regulations and SEC regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with corporate governance and legal standards.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate finance law.
- Strong understanding of mortgage-backed securities and CMBS transactions.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and legal consulting in the finance sector.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
