About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Android Engineer to join our innovative team at Wallapop. As an Android Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Kotlin-first application, contributing to a modern tech stack while delivering features to millions of users. What You'll Do

• Build and maintain feature modules, ensuring high-quality standards as the guardian of their quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Backend, to define and implement new features.
• Act as a technical reference for your team and mentor other Android Engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Help improve our architecture, tooling, and performance practices, contributing to a modular codebase shared by multiple teams.
• Utilize crash and performance monitoring systems to ensure your features run smoothly for our millions of users.

Requirements

• Strong experience in building top-tier Android apps using Kotlin, Coroutines, Anvil, and Jetpack Compose.
• Excellent foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience working in large modular codebases and a data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to balance technical trade-offs with product impact and strong communication skills.
• A growth mindset with an openness to learning and knowledge sharing.

Nice to Have

• Experience implementing a Design System and familiarity with the Gradle build system.
• Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities.
• A passion for accessibility standards and inclusive design.
