About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Team Member to join our team at AccorHotel, providing essential maintenance support across our Portsmouth locations. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their skills in a hands-on environment while ensuring a safe and functional atmosphere for our guests. As a Maintenance Team Member, you will engage in a variety of tasks, from basic repairs to preventative maintenance, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and operational.

What You'll Do

• Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
• Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify safety issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Assist in the administration of health and safety checks as required.
• Coordinate with contractors and external providers to ensure compliance with service agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Champion the hotel’s commitments to environmental sustainability and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests regarding property facilities.
• Engage in ongoing training to enhance your skills and knowledge in building maintenance.

Requirements

• Previous experience in building maintenance is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability and a proactive attitude towards tasks.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
