About the Role

Join Velera Solutions as an Intern - Data Engineer, where you will gain valuable experience in the financial technology sector while working remotely. This internship is designed for junior or senior undergraduate students eager to develop their skills in data engineering, particularly focusing on ETL processes and analytics. As a Data Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with Databricks and support pipeline performance, engaging in team Agile meetings and researching Databricks features.

What You'll Do

• Participate in hands-on projects that enhance your understanding of data engineering in the financial technology sector.
• Support the performance of data pipelines using Databricks and other tools.
• Engage in Agile team meetings to foster collaboration and communication skills.
• Research and implement Databricks features to improve project outcomes.
• Network with industry leaders and gain exposure to the Credit Union industry.

Requirements

• Completion of sophomore or junior year in an accredited undergraduate program.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 at the time of application.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
