Installation Tools Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Installation Tools Engineer to join our team at Nordex. This remote opportunity allows you to contribute to the design and validation of tools for the installation of Nordex turbines. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and quality departments to ensure the highest standards are met.

What You'll Do

• Define and validate installation tools, ensuring compliance with project management and engineering requirements.
• Update installation tooling specifications in alignment with project management operations and wind turbine generator (WTG) designers.
• Translate lessons learned from wind farms into engineering requirements to enhance turbine design.
• Create installation manuals for tools and evaluate tooling calculation reports.
• Address incidents and improvement actions related to installation tools raised by project management operations and quality departments.
• Travel to wind farms or factories to validate and review new tools or turbine prototypes.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position within the wind industry.
• Proficiency in CAD-PLM (Teamcenter, Teamcenter Visualization), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and SAP.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate closely with various departments.
• High level of English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% annually.

Nice to Have

• Experience with installation standards and tooling calculation reports.
• Familiarity with wind turbine installation processes.
• Knowledge of quality assurance practices in engineering.
