What You'll Do
- Perform high-quality maintenance activities on heavy diesel equipment in accordance with approved systems and schedules.
- Complete work orders using SAP processes, ensuring accurate history capture.
- Execute planned and corrective tasks to meet maintenance standards.
- Contribute to fault finding, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability improvements.
- Scope corrective work to support effective planning and resource allocation.
- Manage parts and materials, including accurate returns of unused or repairable items.
- Report hazards and events promptly, supporting investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience maintaining heavy mobile plant in a mining or large-scale operational environment.
- Demonstrated capability in performing preventative maintenance and major component change-outs.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with maintenance, production, and planning teams.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Successful completion of a Heavy Equipment Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship and a nationally recognized trade certification.
- Current C class driver’s license.
Nice to Have
- HR Class Driver’s License.
- High Risk Work License for forklift and elevated work platform.
- High Risk Dogman License and Overhead Crane certification.
- Basic rigging certification.
