Field Service Technician II - Solar BESS Traveler (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician II - Solar BESS Traveler to join our team remotely. In this role, you will assist senior technicians in the operation and maintenance of utility-scale solar facilities, ensuring that we provide affordable, zero-carbon energy solutions. What You'll Do

• Assist senior technicians in maintaining solar facilities and conducting preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot low and medium voltage AC and DC power systems.
• Utilize hand tools effectively for maintenance tasks.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts to ensure operational efficiency.
• Follow safety plans and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Interface with project stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Travel required, preferably near major airports, to various project sites.
• Comply with safety and company policies while representing the company professionally.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of related maintenance experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems is essential.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
• FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical tools and systems.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to travel domestically 76%-100% of the time.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary.
