Embedded Software Engineer - DO-178C Compliance (Remote)
About the Role
Join Akkodis as an Embedded Software Engineer in a fully remote position, where you will play a crucial role in developing DO-178C compliant software. This opportunity allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to the aerospace and avionics sectors.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain embedded software solutions compliant with DO-178C standards.
- Utilize your expertise in C/C++ for embedded development on Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Support the full software development lifecycle, ensuring reliability and safety in critical systems.
- Work with FACE Architectures, including Transport Services Segment (TSS) and I/O Services Segment (IOSS).
- Implement digital signature certificate signing and manage TFTP-based transfers.
- Conduct static code analysis to meet certification and deployment requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Stay updated with industry standards and best practices in embedded software development.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Embedded Software Engineer, particularly with DO-178C compliance.
- Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded systems.
- Experience with Unix/Linux-based operating systems.
- Familiarity with FACE Architecture and ARINC standards.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Mid-level experience (2-5 years) in embedded software development.
Nice to Have
- Experience with LynxOS and MIL-STD-2217.
- Knowledge of static code analysis tools.
- Familiarity with digital signing and data loading processes.
