Design Engineer - Remote Position at Gifthealth

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Design Engineer - Remote to join our innovative team at Gifthealth. In this role, you will play a critical part in building high-quality, user-centered software experiences that transform the healthcare journey. As a Design Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Product Design and Product Engineering teams to ensure that our products not only meet but exceed user expectations.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain user-facing product features with a strong focus on usability and performance.
• Partner with Product Designers to translate design concepts into production-ready implementations.
• Contribute to product design systems and UI patterns to enhance user experience.
• Ensure design fidelity and cross-browser compatibility across all platforms.
• Advocate for best practices in frontend architecture and design quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, design, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in user-facing software products, particularly in frontend development.
• Strong skills in modern frontend technologies including React, TypeScript, and CSS.
• Ability to translate design artifacts into high-quality code.
• Experience with design systems or platform-level UI infrastructure is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the healthcare industry or related fields.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
