This internship is the first phase of our structured, multi-phase workforce development program designed to provide participants with foundational, hands-on exposure to real-world cybersecurity operations. As a Cybersecurity Workforce Development Intern, you will engage in a unique learning experience that combines technical training, applied projects, professional development, and mentorship.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in a comprehensive internship program that rotates through offensive security, defensive security, and integration/GRC-focused activities.
  • Engage in guided exercises, vendor-led spotlights, and team-based projects to enhance your cybersecurity skills.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and mentors to complete hands-on projects that culminate in presentations to an audience of government and industry leaders.
  • Develop professional documentation and presentation skills that are essential for a successful career in cybersecurity.
  • Showcase your achievements to potential employers through presentations and project demonstrations.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be enrolled in or a recent graduate of a New Jersey accredited college/university.
  • Current undergraduate student entering the 3rd or 4th year of their degree.
  • Current graduate student.
  • Recent college graduate residing in New Jersey, with graduation occurring less than one year prior to the start of the internship.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience or coursework in cybersecurity or related fields.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
