About the Role

Customer.io is seeking a Corporate Counsel - EMEA (Remote) to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide legal support across various functions, ensuring compliance and managing legal risks for our operations in Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity to work remotely while contributing to a leading company in the LegalTech industry.

What You'll Do

  • Provide legal advice on a range of issues including data protection, compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors to ensure the company's interests are protected.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal concerns and implement best practices.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting our business in the EMEA region.
  • Support the development of corporate policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a corporate counsel or in a similar legal role.
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA regulations, especially in data protection and privacy laws.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the tech industry, particularly in SaaS or LegalTech.
  • Fluency in multiple languages.
  • Familiarity with contract management software.
