Communications & Impact Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Communications & Impact Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. At Communities In Schools of the Heart of Texas (CISHOT), we are dedicated to empowering students to stay in school and achieve their goals. This role is crucial in leading our strategic internal and external communications, enhancing our brand visibility, and strengthening our community engagement.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement integrated communications strategies that align with our mission.
• Manage our website using WordPress, oversee social media channels, and execute email marketing campaigns.
• Produce high-quality print and digital materials, including annual reports, fact sheets, and impact stories.
• Lead media and public relations efforts to enhance our visibility and storytelling.
• Produce engaging video content both in-house and with external vendors.
• Track KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of communications.
• Support donor communications and development messaging to foster engagement.
• Participate in agency projects and community events to promote our mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing.
• Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience with digital marketing, social media, and web management.
• Graphic design experience for both print and digital materials.
• Ability to develop bilingual Spanish/English messaging is preferred.
• Strong organizational and relationship-building skills.
