A/V Architect - Remote Opportunities Available
About the Role
We're hiring an A/V Architect to join our innovative team at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). This A/V Architect role offers the chance to design and implement cutting-edge audio/visual solutions that enhance collaboration across our organization. As an A/V Architect, you'll play a crucial role in redefining the digital workplace, enabling seamless communication and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Conduct needs assessments and develop detailed A/V system designs using CAD tools.
- Architect and deploy Microsoft Teams Rooms solutions for enhanced collaboration.
- Design and implement large-scale A/V systems for auditoriums and high-capacity spaces.
- Select and procure A/V equipment ensuring scalability and compatibility.
- Oversee installation and integration with IT infrastructure and facilities systems.
Requirements
- BS/BA and 5 years of relevant experience -OR- MS/MA or higher and 3 years of relevant experience -OR- PhD and 1 year of relevant experience -OR- AA and 14 years of relevant experience -OR- HS/GED and 16 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience applying theoretical/fundamental computer science concepts through the design, development, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of computer infrastructure and networks.
- Experience in auditorium A/V design and collaboration space technologies.
- Knowledge of emerging A/V trends and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
- Certifications such as CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist – Design) or equivalent.
Nice to Have
- Experience with advanced tier troubleshooting for complex A/V issues.
- Ability to maintain and update A/V systems for optimal performance.
- Experience in delivering training and maintaining a knowledge base for support teams.
