2D Motion Designer for YouTube Channel - Remote
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and creative 2D Motion Designer to join our visual storytelling team at Electrify Video Partners. This 2D Motion Designer remote position will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our explainers, video essays, and documentaries through clean, compelling motion graphics and animation.
What You'll Do
- Create polished 2D animations, including maps, text animations, transitions, and data visualization.
- Stylize and enhance footage to ensure consistency with brand and story tone.
- Develop visual templates for recurring formats.
- Work with editors and producers to ensure seamless integration of motion graphics into final edits.
- Create assets that are adaptable across different platforms (e.g., social, web).
- Interpret scripts and storyboards into engaging visual sequences.
- Work closely with editors and the creative team to align visuals with editorial goals.
- Contribute ideas for visual metaphors, sequences, and storytelling formats.
- Maintain visual coherence and quality across projects.
- Collaborate in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Requirements
- Professional proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong aesthetic skills, with a solid grasp of composition, typography, and color theory.
- 3+ years of professional experience in motion design (ideally in explainers, video essays, or documentaries).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Enthusiastic about visual storytelling and editorial content.
- Intermediate German language skills.

- Experience with 3D motion design.
- Knowledge of video editing software.
- Familiarity with social media content creation.
