Senior Software Engineer - Passwordless Security Solutions

About the Role

HYPR is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us revolutionize identity security. As a Senior Software Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge passwordless authentication solutions. Our mission is to eliminate the traditional password and create a secure identity lifecycle for organizations worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and deploy SaaS services end-to-end, from understanding requirements to production support and scalability.
• Utilize AI-native SDLC practices by integrating agents throughout design, coding, testing, and documentation processes.
• Research and implement new technologies to enhance existing products and explore innovative solutions.
• Implement comprehensive automated testing at the component level, collaborating with Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET).
• Participate in standards bodies to shape next-generation standards like W3C, WebAuthn, and OAuth.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their challenges and participate in an on-call rotation for incident escalation.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Java SE 21+ and Spring/Quarkus.
• Experience with Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform.
• Cloud-first development experience with AWS, Azure, or similar.
• Proficiency in one or more datastores such as MySQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, Redshift, or Redis.
• Strong understanding of CS algorithms, data structures, and clean code principles.
• Experience designing scalable services with multi-region deployments and elastic capacity.
• Familiarity with one major JavaScript framework (Angular, React, or Vue).
• Knowledge of observability techniques and tools, including metrics and OpenTelemetry.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth, SAML, WebAuthn, PKI, Kerberos, FIDO/FIDO2.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Helm, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with dynamically typed languages such as Python or Ruby.
