Senior Game Designer - Remote Opportunity at Gameloft

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Game Designer to join our dynamic team at Gameloft. This Senior Game Designer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative game projects with a multicultural team in Ho Chi Minh City. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the game’s vision and crafting engaging player experiences.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop gameplay mechanics, levels, and systems ensuring they are intuitive, enjoyable, and aligned with project objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate game design content and ensure cohesive gameplay experiences.
• Create and maintain comprehensive game design documents including concept pitches and feature specifications.
• Prototype and iterate on game concepts, refining gameplay mechanics based on feedback from internal teams and user testing.
• Balance gameplay difficulty and complexity to cater to player development and game economy.
• Adapt game design elements based on feedback and technical constraints, maintaining flexibility throughout the design process.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually innovate and enhance our products.

Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Game Design with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
• Proficient in game design tools and engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine.
• Solid understanding of core Game Design principles including gameplay mechanics, systems, and UI/UX.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a passion for creating high-quality games.
• Experience in level design and combat design is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience collaborating with data analysts and designing with a data-driven mindset.
• Knowledge of market trends in Mobile Video Games, AAA & PC/Console.
